Guided Walk with Michael Gibbons
2:30pm: Departing from Renvyle House Hotel.
A guided walk with renowned archaeologist, Michael Gibbons, “Along the Wild Atlantic Way”. Michael will tell us about the way of life of different past generations and eras.
7:00pm: Welcome reception with a light buffet of local foods and delicacies.

SATURDAY 15th JUNE 2019

“A day with John & Sally McKenna”
Venue: Renvyle Beach Shoreline and Renvyle House.
10.30am to 12 noon: “Foraging the Sea Shore with Sally McKenna”.

12 noon to 1pm:
Gardening and Farming on the Wild Atlantic Way with organic gardener and author Klaus Laitenberger.

1:30pm – 2:30pm: “The Bronze Age Cook In” (an fulacht fia).
A full re-enactment of cooking during the Bronze Age on the grounds of Renvyle House. Enjoy food tastings from the pre-historic era. (weather permitting)

Venue: Renvyle House Hotel
2:30pm: Preparing and filleting of fish will be presented by local fishmonger, Brendan McCarthy.
3:30pm: Seafood and Seaweed. Cookery demonstration with Food Writers John and Sally McKenna and Eurototques Commissioner Mr. Tim O’Sullivan.
5:30pm: Dr Paul Connolly, Director of Fisheries Science Services in the Marine Institute and Vice President for the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) will give a lively and informative talk on “The Scientific Understanding of Marine EcoSystems”.
6:30pm Pre dinner reception
7.00pm:“Wild Atlantic Way Dinner”
A five course dinner with wine included and all ingredients sourced from along the Wild Atlantic Way.
10:00pm: Live music in the bar with local talented musicians.
